In 2015 he choreographed and performed in the New Zealand School of Dance’s highly acclaimed ‘KARST’ as well as filmed and edited for the project. His graduating class then teamed up with Ross McCormack’s to create the sold out season of ‘Preface - Homage to a Risk’ in Auckland’s Tempo Dance Festival. Also in 2015 he teamed up with House of Sand’s Eliza Sanders to film and edit MGWH.
In 2014 he was part of Battleground Productions’ debut work ‘Your Body is a Battleground’ Directed by John Butterfield.
As a dancer and performer Jacob has worked with various choreographers and directors across Australia and New Zealand such as Sarah Foster-Sproull, Craig Barry, Kuik Swee Boon, Michael Parmenter, Timothy Harbour, Sue Healey, Malia Johnston, Luke Hanna and many more.
In 2014 also Jacob focused highly on building his technique as a cinematographer and director by producing ‘Dance Yearly’ under J.Edmonds Films from which three months (May, June and August) were taken from and made into the short film ‘3 Movements: 1 Suite’. This was specifically arranged to show at Auckland’s Tempo Dance festival in 2015 in ‘Quick Flicks’.
Although having produced videos and dance film professionally for up to 4 years, ‘Venturesome’ was his first short film under SELECTIONstudios.
In the summer of 2016 he produced ‘Canvas’.
